So i’ve been giving some thought to Malifaux. I love the figures, I love the fluff, and I love the mechanics. The only thing I don’t love is my ability to paint. These are beautiful miniatures, and I can’t just seem to do them [Lady]justice
. I wanna be a Henchman for Wyrd. I’m pretty psyched about the miniatures and the game, but no one really plays in my local scene (part of the reason why I want to be a Henchman). I’m trying to get the interest rolling at my local store, Realm of Heroes, but I’m not sure if the game would appeal to many of the older wargamers. Right now I’ve got two starter boxes, Lady Justice and Nicodem. Two very opposing crews, with two very different approaches to the game. Lady Justice is very in your face, and Nicodem relies more on getting minions on the board and swarming your opponent, I just don’t know how to set up a proper demo for the game. A lot of this post is rambling. I’m trying to organize my thoughts around this cool game, and how to best present it to the store owner. I basically have to sell this game to him as though I’m Wyrd Miniatures, and I want him to carry my product (even though I don’t get any of the profit).
Maybe I’ll just have to wing it, and hope for the best, though this does mean that I need to finish painting those poor buggers.
