I know its been a long time since any “decent” content has been posted here on weazlrants, I believe the last quality post was “Welcome to WordPress” but I could be wrong. So the reason why Weazl and I have been silent is because the world has taken us in different directions. Last May, he graduated from our university, and I’ve recently started student teaching in my hometown. So we haven’t been able to play many games together, or any games at all. I think my last game was Warhammer Fantasy Battles about three weeks ago (I was stomped). And I think the last game Weazel played was against my Trolls. He blew up half of his own army, it was sweet!
So here’s a quick update:
“Slow and Purposeful” has been put on the back burner while I teach, I’m not sure I can dedicate the time to edit, compile, and record a podcast. But I might be on the look out for some people to help. I just want to be on one, and think we could do something interesting with it. So thats that…
My Armies: Since the theft of my blood angels, I’ve done about zero painting. My Imperial Guard have just been sitting in cases, and I’m worried about finding the time to strip them so I can start painting them, something I will blog about either here or on DakkaDakka. I’ve painted 2 trolls, trying to slowly get that army painted, in case I can get into a slow grow Warmachine and Hordes league. I’ve also been trying to paint my Malifaux figs, and that is going horribly. I realized just how bad of a painter I am lol. Also, the scale and detail on the models does not lend themselves to my paint style which works well with big open areas on the model, and room for washes 
.
On the internets: DakkaDakka has just started a really cool “community army” called Waaagh Dakka. Led by Warboss Yakface (admin and owner of the site) and Big Mek Legoburner (the other admin), Waaagh Dakka is about bringing the community together as a giant Ork Army. The idea is simple, split up the pieces of the waaagh between the ranks of the site, from Admins, moderators, DCM (Dakka Contributing Members), and members at large. Each member is asked to join a mob, whether its a grot, a Big Gunz mob, or even slugga and shoota boyz. Each member is given free reign to have the model “represent” himself in Ork form. The only restriction is the color scheme. This provides almost limitless ideas for members. The best I’ve seen so far is MeanGreenStompa, a Stormboyz Nob, and WarOne’s deffkopta (more of an ork converted to wearing a jet pack with propeller blades, and massive buzzsaws and rokkits. Every member is encouraged to join the Waagh, and yours truly is the Runtherder for a Big Gunz mob, and I’m looking for 2 Guns, 12 Grots, 3 Ammo Runts, and a squig hound.
